creative communicator
Like many kids who eventually became journalists, I always loved the news and loved communicating news. And I followed that passion, eventually becoming a reporter, editor and columnist at the Chicago Sun-Times. As media evolved, I did, too. In 2012, I joined the ABC News network investigative unit. The journalism stayed the same, but I picked up new skills producing for television, internet and radio.
I'm a quick study. In my career, I've written with authority on topics as varied as financial fraud, domestic violence, nuclear energy, immigration and the steel industry.
I am comfortable both on- and off-camera and am happy to mentor anyone who needs to get over the TV jitters. My speaking and/or panelist appearances include Investigative Reporters and Editors, International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators, Illinois AP Editors Association and the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization. I have great industry connections nationally and in the Chicago media market.
